Cape Verde Islands
Assignment: Partially for its own account Panorama International produced a series of projects in concept form. One embellished the concept of developing an island in the harbor of Praia, the Capital City and the restoration of a public beach which was a blight on the city. The attractive outcome was to be a showplace of the city; featuring two hotels, a marina, a cruise ship dock, and a casino, together with residential and shopping venues.
Assignment: Bay Vista was a project created on a beach encompassed in a small and colloquial city. The project took advantage of a sloping but cliff-side site, and offered a condo hotel, that for one of the first times ever featured outdoor living rooms in a project. The concept, invented by Panorama called for the reduction of air conditioned space, and the creation of private outdoor living areas.
Assignment: The client, who is the leading development company in Cape Verde Islands retained Panorama to create a development on a generally secondary and non beachfront site. A new form of condotel was created, and residential product, a casino and matching amenities were designed.
Assignment: Partially for its own account, Panorama conceived of a new beachfront hotel, commercial center and casino. The design capitalized on an internal boardwalk that drew from nearby hotels which had no centralized shopping or entertainment, two draws identified early on by Panorama’s research.
